I have spent years trying to articulate why I love photographing people so much, but it's blimmin' hard to put into words!So, please bear with this feeble attempt - I believe photos act like a visual memory journal. They can transport you back in time, like a good (or bad) perfume can often do. Your kids captured on the only day they will ever be that age, showing you a blueberry they found on the ground with pride.Luckily for me, I am a professional people watcher. My partner says it borders mildly on staring, but it's served me well so far! Which is how I have come to my obsession with documentary style photography - messy, real life houses, faces, families, baby bumps with toddlers hanging off them.Organic and human, all of the things in the list of things I love above. It feels like the world is quickly moving further away from this, and I want to showcase what vulnerability, fun and chaos look like from my beautiful, offline camera.

If you’ve ever wished you could pause time and bottle up all those little moments with your family, Sophie is your person.What she captured for us feels absolutely priceless. These weren’t stiff “stand still and smile at the camera” photos, they were us.
